I’ve finally limped to the finish line with a new Orthodox novel. I realize I haven’t announced much of anything about this one. I think I only said I was working on something that wasn’t about Grouse Creek, and I said that back in 2025. Well, this is what I was working on. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s now available for purchase on Amazon. (It may eventually be available from other retailers, but not yet.)
I do have another Grouse Creek book that’s been 90% done for many months now. God willing, I’ll finish that one and release it at some point. But for now, I hope you enjoy this new release that’s totally different and unrelated.
Here’s the blurb:
Every Sorrow: An Orthodox Christian Novel
Ana Rios is overwhelmed. She’s barely managing to hold onto a precarious, low-paid job at a veterinary clinic. She lives in a rented room because it’s all she can afford. She’s embroiled in a lawsuit. She misses her late godmother. She knows she should rely on God, but she usually finds herself relying on herself. There’s always one more thing going wrong in her life.
When she makes a connection with a pet owner from work, she starts to wonder whether something might go right for a change. His life isn’t perfect either. He recently lost a beloved animal. He’s struggling on the job. But he’s kind, and they have some unexpected things in common. He might be the great man Ana’s never managed to meet before.
Or he might not be that at all. Because nothing goes the way Ana hopes it will.
A novel of sorrows, struggles, pets, and faith.
